PDET pupils are ama-SING!

We hosted our first ever Just Sing! event at The Derngate, Northampton, on June 26th and 27th, bringing together children from 27 schools within the PDET Trust.

The event showcased the amazing vocal talents of 352 children from 11 schools on Wednesday and 292 children from 16 schools on Thursday. Over 500 family members were treated to fantastic performances thanks to the hard work of the children who had been practicing their songs since March, with songs provided by Sparkyard. A special highlight of the evening was a performance that included British Sign Language (BSL) for the chorus.

Led by Sonia Clews, Headteacher at St Luke’s and Rachel Moorhouse, Music Lead at William Law, with assistance from Donna Barnes, the event highlighted the importance of community spirit and extracurricular activities in building confidence in our pupils.

A parent shared how our pupils' behaviour and enthusiasm were fantastic! We are so proud of everyone who took part – look out for more fun cross-Trust events in the future!
